Bonkers: A Playful Display Font for Friendly Branding Projects
When Bonkers Works—and When It Doesn’t
- Logo design for boutique brands, bakeries, cafes, or kids’ products
- Packaging labels and product tags that need a friendly tone
- Social media graphics and digital marketing assets
- Business cards and greeting cards with a handmade aesthetic
- Posters or flyers for local events or creative studios
Pairing Bonkers with Other Fonts
- Serif fonts: Surprisingly, Bonkers worked well with Georgia and Playfair Display. The contrast between old-world elegance and playful modernity gave the brand a unique edge.
- Sans serif fonts: Using Montserrat or Lato for supporting text created a clean, modern balance. The sans serif grounded the design while letting Bonkers take center stage.
- Script fonts: For a more whimsical approach, I paired Bonkers with a light script like Allura. It felt a bit too cutesy for the bakery, but could work well for greeting cards or handmade shops.
